Is it being born in Hollywood, getting a million subscribers, views? Being famous? Attracting mates? How about getting glazed by everyone you know because your business just did $37,000 in monthly revenue? That’s probably how the world would define it.
“And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.”
-Daniel 12:2-3
Verse two clearly states: “Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt”
Therefore verse three must be referring to evangelistic pursuits:
“And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.”
When we use our lives to tell people about Jesus, we will receive some sort of reward that God compares to “shining like a star” (forever btw), I’m not sure if it literally means shining like a star or metaphorical means something else, but I do know God is good, and if He put that in His word, than it must be a worthy pursuit!
